Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Intermarket Universe ("IU," "IU Digest," "we," "us") publishes independent investment research at iudigest.com. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors and subscribers, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and any subscriber account features we offer.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

If you email us (including through the Contact page), we receive whatever you include in that message — typically your name, email address, and the content of your inquiry. If and when subscriber accounts launch, creating one will involve providing an email address and, for paid tiers, payment information handled directly by our payment processor (see "Third-Party Services" below) — we do not receive or store full card numbers ourselves.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are read, how people arrive here, and general engagement patterns. This involves cookies and similar technologies that collect:

  • IP address (used to approximate general location; not stored as a precise or persistent identifier)
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring/exit pages
  • General engagement events, such as clicks on subscribe or article links

We do not use this data to build individual profiles for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We currently use the following categories:

CategoryPurposeExample
AnalyticsUnderstand site usage and improve contentGoogle Analytics (_ga, _gid)
FunctionalRemember basic preferences during your visitSession-based UI state

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect some site functionality but will not prevent you from reading published research. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically using Google's browser add-on.

How We Use Information

  • To operate and improve the website and its content
  • To respond to inquiries sent through the Contact page or email
  • To manage subscriber accounts and billing, once subscription features launch
  • To understand aggregate readership trends across research coverage
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the site. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
  • Netlify — website hosting and content delivery.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions, once launched. Stripe receives payment details directly; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Supabase — subscriber account authentication and entitlement management, once launched.

Data Retention

We retain contact inquiries and correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to address them and maintain business records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Subscriber account data, once that feature launches, will be retained for the life of the account plus a reasonable period afterward for billing and legal purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain data uses.

If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to data portability, subject to certain exceptions. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are broadly defined under California law, which can include analytics cookies). We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at intelligence@iudigest.com.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for a general financial-research audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site and its features evolve, particularly as subscription functionality launches. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

This policy describes IU Digest's current data practices and is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and IU Digest may update it as regulations or site functionality change.
